How do I stop my braces from doing this?

The two brackets on the very ends of my top molars rub into my cheek, and it really hurts. It got so raw that eventually I just put some of the wax my dentist gave me on them on them, but that's not what the wax is for. What do I do??? I can't brush or floss my teeth with the wax on braces so I have to do something about it eventually.
